Mrs. Mindy Camp

My name is Mindy Camp, and this is my 2nd year teaching at San Marcos High School! I am certified in Agriculture Science & Technology and Art EC-12, and I have 9 years of experience as an Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Advisor.

I currently teach Livestock Production, Veterinary Medical Applications, Advanced Animal Science, and Practicum of Agriculture, which is the class for the SMHS Certified Veterinary Assistant and Floral Internship Programs. I've also had the opportunity to teach Principles of Agriculture, Equine Science, Wildlife, Fisheries & Ecology Management, Floral Design, and Advanced Floral Design. I also serve as an Advisor for the San Marcos FFA program.

I grew up in Cypress, Texas and was very active in 4H and FFA in my youth. I showed sheep and hogs in FFA and horses in 4H. I served as the FFA and 4H President my senior year and was very competitive in Horse Judging for both clubs. As an Ag Teacher and FFA Advisor, I strive to provide an amazing experience to all of my students, just as my Ag Teachers did for me.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Leadership & Development from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!), as well as an Associate of Science degree in Agriculture from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, where I had a full scholarship on the National Champion Horse Judging Team. I also have several Floral Design certifications and real world experience in the floral industry.

I have dedicated my career to building young advocates of the agriculture industry. I find joy in helping students find their passion and providing them with educational activities and experiences leading to career preparation, continued education, and
employment.

My husband, Brien, and I reside in New Braunfels, Texas with our 4 year old son, Colton, and 1 year old daughter, Kacie. When I am not at work, you can find me at the river or the baseball field with my kids! My title as a mother is my biggest honor and the greatest accomplishment of my life.
